Last year I bought a few things and had to return one shirt because the stitching was coming loose after a few wear.
This spring I bought two shirts, one that I love. I treat the favorite one like fine china and the detail is already coming apart after one season. The other top is just a t shirt and it's already pilled.
I bought two tops (identical shirt in different colors) there today. I figured they were on clearance for $15 each so who cares if they only last a season. I washed one according to the instructions, in a lingerie bag even, and the lace is completely jacked at the collar.
Fuck that. They're going back and I'm never shopping there again EVEN THOUGH it's one of two places I can go and actually shop my fucking size. Argh.

Yeah, I've been less than impressed with the quality from anything there. I hate it when you find something cute, only to have it fall apart so quickly.
Used to be my favorite, I haven't bought anything from there in a couple of years. I still look but never even like anything anymore. The quality has always been bad. Or maybe it's just that things NEVER washed well from there, and I hang dry my nice tanks and t-shirts.

I got some cardigans from AE recently, and usually I'm pleased with their quality for the price, but on these the sleeves stretched out so badly within about 20 minutes of wear.
I'm trying to find things that will last more than one season

Yeah, I gave up on them last year. Their prices are insane for their crap quality. Granted I know you can get everything on sale, but still.
Me too.
I got WAY better stuff at Nordstrom last week for the same as I'd pay at the Loft. no exaggeration. I'm done there as well after the way their stuff fell apart and shrunk last year.
Seriously. I am sort of satisfied with Ann Taylor but have to wait until stuff is on super super clearance. Ugh.
Anyone have experience with three dots brand? I almost got some basic tops from Norstrom Rack by that name today. The logo is literally "...".
Three dots is good quality.
Ok good! I tried on the softest sweatshirt/tee thing and wanted it, but it was $30 for something that looked sort of Hanes-esque. I may go back for it.

Do it! I have far too many expensive tee and sweat shirts that are pj-esque
