She's almost 5 months and is being moved to her room and crib this weekend she goes to bed fine, our problem is staying asleep and then getting herself back to sleep. Oh and 4 a.m. Cooing and giggling that eventually ends in a cry. (This is why she's being moved. Mom and dad aren't interested in joining the 4 a.m. playpen party)
eta: we have a sleep sheep and fan already runs all night. Neither seems to keep her asleep
Hmmmm 5 months is hard. We let them cry ~10 minutes then, and for us we didn't run in at every noise (which TBH it doesn't even seem like you're doing). But sometimes by the time we got to the end of the 10 minutes they were hysterical or the other was awake.
I think it's a phase that will pass. I'm so sorry.
The 4 am wake up I would continue to not intervene. I always set a limit like once he got to the angry point I gave him 10 minutes before I went in. Sometimes he went back to sleep and sometimes he wanted to eat. I made him make it clear to me that he was hungry though.
It is a tough age. Leo was really good about going down for the night and sleeping 10 hours, but still had the 4 am wake up until he was 9 months old. He needed 12 hours of sleep but could only go about 10 without eating. We just tried to not intervene unless he really made it obvious that he was hungry.
