For the record, I agree with some of it, but i also have a lot of problems with this letter.
"Your body is for you and your boyfriend"? No. Her body is hers alone. And she can choose to share it with anyone she wishes, even the public.
Also, feminists are allowed to get naked and be sexual.
Also.....talent? C'mon, Sinead.
oh, for sure. but at least someone is trying to make the point for miley that RIGHT NOW her body is little more than a vehicle for music execs' wealth.
it's not like i expect sinead o'connor to be anything less than bombastic and somewhat self-aggrandizing in the process.
I'm watching her show from last night right now. It is so eyeroll worthy, she's starting a movement, she's an artist, she's so orginal, blah, blah, blah
I absolutely agree with the spirit of this letter. However, she clearly hasn't heard Miley Cyrus's voice. I doubt she could make it on talent alone. Furthermore, I doubt Miley "there for the music" but likes the money she is making just fine.
Lol, I have nothing but cynicism for the Cyrus family.
Well I think Sinead's intentions were good, and she was really close to making good points sometimes, but overall I think she missed the mark by a few yards.
And Miley's response comes as a surprise to approximately no one.
