Also, I think I read lately that Shanghai has almost twice the population of NYC, which is why I'm guessing Shanghai.

I was surprised. I thought it would be some place in China, but I wasn't sure which city it would be. And I was surprised that Mexico City and Tokyo were surpassed by several cities.
