Here's a tip to get a little more goo if you haven't already figured it out:  when you go to a friend's Springfield to haunt buildings, try to pick ones that are already haunted.  Those will yield two goo, but no money or XP.  If you want XP, plant triffids at Cletus' farm. Even though it says the reward is "the end of humanity," in actuality, it's a lot of XP (something like 200).

Ha!  My husband was practicing for a band gig over the weekend, and instead of being upset because we couldn't enjoy the beautiful day, I was "Yes! I can get more goo!"

ARG! I'm hung up on the ghost in the machine quests. I can't do the next one because it requires the gilded truffle. But I don't have the truffle. And I can't build it because it's still locked. And I have no idea what I need to do to trigger the quest that unlocks it.

I've had the squidport and springfield downs pending for a while, so now I'm finally moving on those as soon as I've got enough money hoping when they're done it triggers whatever I need to get the truffle. I really kinda didn't want to do the squidport. It's so much damn money for very little actual gain. And this is totally going to derail my goo gathering.

You need to have Springfield Downs to get the Truffle, so do that before attempting Squidport.

I'm a little over 3000 goo and I'm just a regular player (never spent money) plus I was on vacation last week, so I was only checking in twice per day. 

Did everyone go back to the Simpsons' house yesterday to answer the trivia question related to Sunday's episode? It gets you 10 donuts.

I don't know about skipped.  Do you not have a current ghost quest going?  There is a point where lisa does one of them so you could have homer off doing other shit.

But I'm snagged on the dumb old truffle so I don't know how the donut church stuff is supposed to fit in there.

I don't think you skipped anything. I have three storylines (plus regular stuff) all going at the same time. The ghost quests, the strongman labors and whatever Homer is doing in donut church. H & I are doing things in different orders, but the same stuff pops up.

I am in Homer purgatory too. Right now he is posses by Bont but I have strongman tasks, a pumpkin house to eat and tobacco to lobby for.

But thanks to the ladies here, I am almost at 2000 GOO.
