Here's a question ... if I wanted to get into watching Doctor Who (I've never seen it), would I be OK if I started with the classic/new stuff that's currently on Netflix Streaming? Or would I be missing a lot of backstory?

What do the new episodes air on, BBC America? I don't think I have any of the BBC channels in my cable package

They explain the concept beginning with the 2005 reboot; I've never seen any of the episodes before that point and don't plan to.

Thanks! I just finished watching the Rose episode ... neat. I was really bummed thinking Mickey had been eaten by a trash can - glad he lived. Did the people in the shopping mall die?

And I couldn't place Rose's mother, until I looked it up and saw that she played the woman in "King Ralph."
