I'm glad that Lynette and Tom could settle their issues and live happily together. I was worried when she was offered that job that she would go to New York without him.

I did like that part and loved her speech.
I kind of needed to hear that right now in my life

I gave this show up long ago but I watched the last 3 weeks since it was ending forever. I liked it for the most part. I didn't expect it to blow me away because I remembered the reasons I stopped watching.
I liked the end and the quick flash forwards. I knew Tom and Lynette would end up together but wasn't that happy about it. They really were never happy together! Suzanne driving away was kinda creepy. A lot of people died! I would have been gone a long time ago!
There was one part at the end when Bree was on the phone (with Roy, I assume) at Renee's wedding and she had her head tilted in a way that I was so ready for her to whip off her wig and show off her Kimberly Shaw scar, but that never happened (nor should it have!).
I SO wanted the "Steve" that the new woman in Susan's house referred to to be a familiar face, but it makes more sense to leave it the way they did.
I didn't like it that much. It seemed like kind of a lame ending. And the whole new person with a secret in a jewelry box was just annoying.
But that was the most expected part of the entire episode! That was SO classic Desperate Housewives style. They had to end with a new mysterious "neighbor" with a secret. LOL

I am sad it's over. I feel like a friend died. On one hand, it was nice to flash forward and see what happens to have some closure. On the other hand, it was kinda dull. It was classic DH to set up a new secret, but it just didn't have any kind of bang.
I didn't like the end really with all the dead folks. I read somewhere that throughout the whole series the killed like 78 people! I also didn't like that we didn't get to see a flash forward of susan.

I agree with this! I would have loved for them to show how her life went as well. Wonder why they didn't do that?!
I thought it was good but not great. I did like Karen's scenes a lot though, and how they resolved Tom and Lynette.
I agree with this! It's almost like Susan will get a spinoff or something.
I do want to know if she went on to get married or was happy in her future life.
ETA: do you think Susan will get some sort of spinoff? Especially since they never really tied up the loose ends on Mike and how he may have known the mob guy prior to Renee and Ben's issue with him?
they just ended the show that way because that IS Desperate Housewives. Every season had a mystery, well more like, Wisteria Lane always had secretts/mysteries, so they were just showing how that cycle would continue.

I have hated susan since day 1. the entire 2 seconds that bullet was headed toward mike, I was yelling at the TV, hit susan, hit susan. I think the ideal ending would have been her driving past all the ghosts only to get hit head on by that moving van and killed on the spot. man would that have made my night!
Were all the dead people from actual episodes? I recognized some of them, but I didn't watch all the seasons.
I was wondering the same thing. I have watched every episode since the beginning and I felt like there were way more faces I didn't recognize than those that I did.
Anyways, I liked the way they ended it. I thought it was neat to see all of the people that had been on the show (minus Edie). Although I would have liked to know what happens to Susan.

Haha, I was saying the same thing when the bullet was headed towards Mike! She is just too over the top ditz for me.
I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. It did seem pretty predictable but I guess that's okay for a series finale. I did like the flash forwards and I'm glad Lynette didn't settle in Fairview. I didn't even notice Susan didn't get one until I read it here. I guess she left that big of an impression on me.
