I am an animal lover. I grew up with many pets. When I see a cat or dog somewhere I have to stop and pet them. I wanted a cat for the last 8 years or so but couldn't get one b/c I had to travel and move too much and it wouldn't be fair to the kitty. But recently we have adopted a little kitten and she will join our family in about 2 weeks. We have met her 2x already. I am so excited I can hardly think about anything but the cat. My husband is like that too. We're obsessed with our cat, how sad is that.
Levi. It means bond or union in Hebrew. Years ago when my husband and I lived together in this tiny apartment I said to him, I would love to have a cat together and call it Levi. Now we are more settled and have more space and finally have our little Levi.

I'm an animal lover too, I know the feeling! Congrats on the new addition. Definitely post photos. What does she look like and what is the story of how you've found her?
I'm a complete freak for my dog. The first time we boarded her, I cried. Like full-on actual weeping. When I got her groomed in Rome, I had a hair appointment the same day (cut, color, and highlights), her appt cost more. I cancelled plane tix and instead drove 7hrs so she could come and "smell Venice" b/c she "likes it there". And perhaps the creepiest-- I bought her a sweater to match fisherman's sweaters H and I have.

Not too much story. We found a litter on a craigslist-type of website and asked if we could visit. We actually were supposed to visit 3 litters that same day. Levi's was the first. The people who owned the mama cat were really nice and knew both the mama and dad. Both parents are sweet cats, so we thought "good genes!". When I saw Levi I knew it was her because when I said to my husband many years ago (see previous posts) I wanted a cat and would call it Levi I envisioned a grey tiger and she totally was. We inspected her and she looked healthy and curious about the world. We said we would call later about whether we wanted her. On the bus home we said to each other I don't want to see anymore cats!
My grandmother raises and shows Persians. So that is what I am waiting for. I've been thinking about it for the last two years. I already have a name picked out too.

AWW! That's all I can say. She's such a cutie. Such a funny little expression. She indeed looks "curious about the world" and like she might have an adventurous nature. In that first photo she looks like a little furry Marco Polo.
I'm a total pet lover but am not in a place in my life where I can properly commit to full ownership. My mom has cats and dogs and I enjoy an "open relationship" whenever I visit them (loving on anyone and everyone with four legs). I've also volunteered at animal shelters sometimes as a stress reliever, mostly socializing cats.
