Can you make a sign and email it to them? Would that make them more likely to go out and do it?
I don't think you're being unreasonable. I lost a cat once who ran away and I was beside myself. If I hadn't been there and felt like the people who were weren't doing enough to find her, I would have felt incredibly angry and betrayed.

You have every reason to be upset. My ex was completely irresponsible and one of our dogs got out and lost while I was 2000 miles away in Alaska for a week... She was found, safe, and returned. But it took a while! Keeping my fingers crossed that he's still out frolicking and you guys will hear back soon!

You are not being a bitch. Those signs should have been up on Sunday. The shelters' website are usually a bit behind on the updates. They need to be visiting to check. Was the pup microchipped? Home Again chips will blast the vets/shelters/people in the area on the list with a poster. You can pay to activate the service if you haven't kept that part of it current. Downside it has their 800 number so sightings can be delayed. But it is better than not having the info out there. Post to any missing pet Facebook pages/groups for the area. Even the national ones. Missing pets usa, missing pets pr, etc. they come ip in the search. There are tracking dogs you can get to go out and look. Www.dogsfindingdogs.com is the one we used for our area. There are others out there. I really hope you get your pup back. Mine was gone for 15 days last month, stupid kennel. It is heartbreaking.
Eta You can do the find toto robo calls. To notify everyone with X distance of where he went missing.
No, you aren't wrong, and I'm so sorry. I would assume that they'd be as worried about him as much as you as they've been caring for him. I hope this ends well for you.

"I was thinking about getting off on demand, but it sounds like I should be glad that I didn't"
I seriously hope they find puppy soon. We have had no luck finding my cats that went missing after moving to my fils house with my ex. It's hard to think of them out there all alone without me. I wish I could have taken them and that they'd still be safe with me. I miss them so much.

I would be livid! I'm sorry they're not helping the way they need to be. My anecdote is my kitten ran away when I was a kid, he was gone for 2 weeks, and then he just showed back up one day. It was amazing. I hope your story has a happy ending too.

I, and they, want to say yes, he was chipped.. But honestly? I truly think that we let it slide. I have no memory of chipping him. Only the memory of planning to get him chipped. And I realize this is my fault entirely. He should have been, I was lazy. I deserve this because I could have done more to protect him. And I'm OK with deserving this.. but he doesn't deserve being lost.
I've done the FB groups in the area and FidoFinder and FindFido and posting to the vets.
And I just want to say, I am so sorry your baby was gone for 15 days. But the fact that he was gone so long and you got him back is comforting to me. I'm so sorry you went through that, but it does give me hope. Thank you so much, Nor.
Chips slip. Call your former vet, they would have a record of doing it. It is such a quick thing that it might have been done at a check up. Mine was chipped late because my vet normal does it at spay, but she is a giant breed so she was done at over a year. There was another dog that the lady we were working with got back the same weekend. He was gone for 33 days, he was just a little guy. There was one I saw on FB that they got back 6 years later (I know you don't want to wait that long) It really sucks when you trust someone to watch your pet and they fail miserably at it. There is also an iPhone (I think android app) Finding Rover that scans photos to look for similar dogs that have been lost found. I added find toto robo call thing to the other post, it did alert a few of the neighbors to the kennel that we got sightings from. The little guys tend to stay a bit closer to home, but it has been a few days. I know mine was all over the place. I'd email your own poster to the shelter/vet/local rescues/pet shops. It is hard to plaster the area not being there. On the more local missing pet pages, you might be able to find some volunteers to hang posters in the area. You just stick them in the page protector sheet covers (Walmart/staples etc carry them) scotch tape up the bottom. Ours made it through some bad storms. Since the pup got out from home, he isn't as likely to be running scared (mine escaped from a boarding kennel and was flipped out enough to run from my husband after we got our I first sighting of her a week + after she got out) finally to her isolated to a farm and hunger took over the fear and she was eating at a feeding station.

Thank you, oleg.
Side note, you were posting a bit then you disappeared. Why is that? (asking to help distract me)
I really only check the boards when I'm at home. I work a lot, but try to keep up when I can. I'm surprised you noticed, lol.
I had a similar situation happen with my pup. People she was given to lost her on a Sunday and didn't inform my family til Thursday that night I immediately put an ad on Craigslist and hours later the kennel contacted me via e-mail saying they had a pup that looked like mine and it was her!

Did pics get posted to the fb local by sell trade groups? A bunch of people in the harbor have found their dogs in couple hours after posting on there. It's like amber alert for pets.
