I got a wonderful surprise yesterday when my best friend from home came walking into my living room with my DH! I couldn't believe it and I was so confused as to what was going on!
He is in Sydney on business for the week and was planning it with DH for a while. I'm surprised dh was able to keep the secret for so long, he is usually not a good secret keeper. I'm so happy that baby P got to meet someone from my American family. He is here until next Monday so we will get to spend next weekend together. I'm so happy!
American in Oz, if you see this- he is staying in manly for the week with his co-workers and wanted some restaurant recommendations, so I thought I would ask you! Any suggestions for me to give him? Doesn't need to be fancy, just something with good food!

How wonderful!!!! That is SUCH a lovely surprise Oh yes - lots of good places to eat in Manly 1. China Beach - it's at the bottom of the corso - beach side - new really nice chinese restaurant and reasonably priced 2. Ribs & Rumps (beach side) - great South African place with yummy burgers, good ribs & steaks, etc. 3. Hemmingways - a bar - but very cool - just down from China Beach - it's meant to have great drinks & I hear the food is good too 4. The Wharf Bar - has pretty good food (their pizzas are yummy!) and is one of 'the' places to go out for a drink in Manly 5. Hugos - also at Manly Wharf - is a gourmet pizza place - so so so nice! 6. 4 Pines is a little restaurant above the movie theatre (wharf side) - food is good, but the big draw is they brew their own beer for quick food - *Ben Bry burgers (on the walkway just off the corso where the markets are on weekends) makes AWESOME takeaway burgers *Best fish & chips is at the fish cafe - turn the corner by Ben & Jerry's & it's right there - so so yummy
