Scanned and emailed copies of passport, fronts and backs of credit cards, and intineray to a safe spot. Travel insurance phone numbers and embassy contact numbers. The little packets of laundry soap if you need to wash stuff out. Cash in local currency to get you to hotel (not sure if you have pre arranged shuttle) if ATM is out of order at destination. Ace bandage. Did you find bug spray/wipes? Lens wipes for glasses.

I have copies of the passport and itinerary. My shower gel is multi-purpose and can be used to wash clothes. I talked to a few people who said that I shouldn't need bug spray. When I get over there, if the travel guide disagrees, I will try and pick some up.
I will have to get the travel insurance, copies of CC numbers and embassy numbers.
Extra memory card for your camera? Nail clippers -- I'm always forgetting mine and having to buy them on location. Eye drops Dental floss Do you take any other medications or vitamins?
How many years in the making is this trip? I bet your pictures will be amazing!

Nonny, I have an extra memory card and eye drops. I will have to look in to nail clippers and floss. And no medications other than the ones I have listed. This is trip is actually only about 7 months in the making, haha! I was diagnosed with cancer in January so this is my big hurrah trip for being done with treatment!
GilliC, I do have sock liners and these banage type things for blisters. Also, I plan on putting body glide on my feet to help prevent them. As for the condoms? I'm in a committed relationship so no need for those while I'm over there

Gah! Sorry about that. I'm terrible at remembering who is and who isn't!
But it does mean that you haven't had enough drama for it to make it onto my radar, so that's good!

I got this tip at the Boston Marathon. Destin and baby powder work even better than body glide. The baby powder minimizes friction and destin keeps the moisture away. I've been using it on my 3+ hour runs and have been blister free.

I'm assuming you mean desitin, the diaper rash cream? Stupid question, but what order do you put it on?

Yeap. It took me forever to find it when I was looking at the grocery story pharmacy. The person who told me didn't say but I do desitin first because it seems to help the baby powder stick.

Tissues or toilet paper motion sickness pills. I went up on the Tibet side and driving through the mountains was rough something for altitude sickness, if it exists? DH had a hard time with it and barely ate for three days.
Have fun! It was one of the best experiences of my life.
Edit: make sure you have enough clothes. We stayed in the monastery hostel and although it was indoors, it was still freezing in the summertime, so we wore three layers to bed. However cold you think it might be, plan for it to be colder.

Thanks! I can't wait to go!
The diamox is for altitude sickness and I am bringing a lot of layers so hopefully I should be warm enough!
