Anyone else? A is a good nighttime sleeper, 12 hours straight, occasionally one wake up feeding but NBD. I'm still really tired. Moms, am I ever going to feel rested again? Am I just an old woman or is this normal even for all you youngsters?
I think I just got used to being tired; There are some days where I feel more rested than others, though, that's for sure. I sure don't feel very young.
I was going to ask if you want to get together for lunch one day when we move our office, since I'll be near you.
Maybe if Alzi can join, too. I was supposed to have lunch with her while I was pregnant and it never materialized on my end
Hells yeah I'm always up for lunch! I get 25% off at CCF but love me some Whole Foods too. Then I can hit up Target, Petsmart and Home Goods without getting back in the car.
Any of those sound good. IF you want to do WF, I'm close to there now. I can't do it this week, but I anytime after that sounds like fun! And I'd love to meet your Amelia!
Not that I am saying you have this, not by any means, but I was tired after having Macy and it never really went away, even when she started sleeping through the night. I felt off ever since I had her. I brought my concerns up the my doctor one more than one occasion and no one took it very seriously.
Finally I found a new doctor (due to other reasons, none of which were for being tired) and they did some blood work and discovered that I was HYPOthyroid and HYPERthyroid (weird to have both, LOL) and that was the reason for my tiredness. But what is interesting is they hyper was brought on by my miscarriage (hypo was due to something else). My Endo told me that after pregnancy or late miscarriage many women develop thyroiditis.
Anyway, I wish I pushed my concerns more at the doctor and I could have had medication prescribed earlier which meant I wouldn't have felt bad for so long.
I am totally not saying you have this, but I thought for the longest time that I would have to put up with being tired all the time. I seriously felt like I had the energy of a 70 year old.
Kathy I def will. For now in going to attribute it to breast feeding but if a month after she's weened I still feel like this ill make my Dr test me. She's really good about that stuff anyways. She's tested my thyroid before she will do it again:) I'm really happy to hear you are feeling better! It sucks to feel drained all the time.
