Does anyone give their toddler gummy vitamins? I've tried to give DS the liquid vitamins that the pedi gave us, but he either spits it back at me or throws it up. I don't blame him. They smell so terrible that I don't even want to taste them.
How old is your LO? I started giving DD gummy vitamins around age 2.5 (closer to 3). She liked them. Then a friend freaked me out about how they can cause tooth decay. I have no idea if this is actually true, but we switched to the Flintstones chewable kind 3 or 4 months ago and she likes those as well. She just turned 4 last month.
He's much younger, 1.5 years. I don't know that the gummy ones are the solution, but I also don't know of any other options. I'll admit, I'm not very educated about vitamins and their necessity.
Both our kids take Lil Critters Gummy Vites. We started giving them to DS2 shortly after he turned one, but he was very good at chewing and swallowing food by then, and we have always watched him closely as he chews them. He wanted nothing to do with the vitamin drops, so our pedi told us to start giving him the same gummies we were already giving DS1. They don't have artificial colors or flavors. We started with this brand because our pediatric dentist (who has several kids himself) claims that he tested various brands of gummy vitamins to see which stick to teeth the worst, and he found Gummy Vites to be less problematic than other brands. My kids love them.
