So normally my husband and I organise each other's bday celebrations. Usually it's a couple of days away or an activity that the other really enjoys.
He organised my 30th bday earlier in the year. One of fave restaurants, 40 friends and family. Good times.
His bday is coming up in December. As it's his 30th a party is expected. He loves water parks and a new one is opening early December. I made some enquiries but unfortunately that'll be a no go. I'll get him a season pass as a bday present instead.
So now I'm trying to make other plans and he's being really difficult about it. He doesn't want a party. I want to throw him one. I've already set up a Facebook invite (to save the date) a couple of months ago. Ppl have rsvped already. I have only told immediate family and our 2 best friends. So no ppl he isn't comfortable around.
I don't get why he's so against it! Am I in the wrong here?

Thanks for your replies.
If I do go down the track of just us two, the parentals (both sets) will organise dinners (at home, low key). So he'll end up with 3 separate celebrations.
