It's a brand of Cincinnati-style chili. There are restaurants all over Ohio and parts of the surrounding states. I live further away, but I can buy cans in the grocery store.
It's a thin chili that is more of a topping than soup. You put it on hot dogs and pasta noodles, then drown it in cheese. It's spiced differently than Texas-style chili - you can taste hints of cinnamon and cloves. Skyline was founded by a Greek immigrant, so it borrows flavors from Mediterranean cuisine.
I should be making a trip to Ohio soon, so I'll be getting a four-way (spaghetti, chili, onions, cheese) and two cheese coneys (hotdog, mustard, onion, chili, cheese) fresh at a Skyline restaurant. Mmmmm....

We just got back from a walk on the trail with Rox. A flippin' SNAKE came out of the woods and Rox lunged for it, but we quickly pulled her away and it slithered back into oblivion.
NO. Just no. I don't do snakes. I never see snakes around here. Like ever. It has given me a permanent case of the willies today.
I mean, it wasn't a HUGE snake but it was at least 2-3 feet, so it wasn't a tiny thing either. Shudder.

I used the Vitamix Whole Wheat Waffles (added a little orange zest and vanilla) recipe. They were so so fluffy and good. Yum. I love that thing, it's one of the best purchases I've ever made.
I am worn out. My friend and kids are visiting. They helped with breakfast, and it took twice as long with their "help". It was fun though.
I want to cry because I am so tired. I got a positive pregnancy test 3 weeks ago today, and since that day I have not had a decent nights sleep, and it is starting to wear on me both physically and mentally. I took off work yesterday to catch up on sleep and relax, and even doing that, I still feel like I haven't slept in a month. Fatigue and trouble sleeping are the only issues I've had so far and I'm thankful for that, but I really am worried about how my job is going to suffer if I am this tired for another 6+ weeks.
Congrats!
Seriously, take Benadryl, Tylenol PM, OR Unisom.
All of these were approved by my doctor and seriously.. it makes a world of difference. Not every night, but after a few nights in a row of bad sleep, I take one at like 7pm and sleep until my alarm goes off at 6am. It helps SO much.
I agree with the Unisom! I started taking it later in my pregnancy because I was getting crap sleep and was so freaking tired all.the.time. It helped a ton!
Also, I was going AW the rest of our family/K's one year pictures, but they are all too big to attach and I don't have the energy to figure out how to make them smaller so I can attach them.
Last night and this morning were super awesome! H, K and I hung out, watched The Lost Boys, I drank a hot chocolate and peppermint Schnapps, then we had morning sex this morning. It was so nice to just chill and relax.
All week the weather has said it's going to be 60* tomorrow so we've been planning a trip to the pumpkin patch since H works Saturdays. The weather changed today and now it says it's only going to be in the 40's and rainy. I will cut a bitch if we don't get to go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow.

I had an awesome lunch date with FI today. We had sushi. It was delicious. I'm also trying to decide if I should take Principles of Human Nutrition(and lab) instead of Biology.
I just got home from buying 300 American flags for the memorial tomorrow.
((@pixiechinchilla)) how is your H doing
We're getting through it. One breath at a time at this point. Westboro Baptist has announced that they plan to protest tomorrow, so things are getting a little crazy. :/

That's so terrible and I think illegal (at least to do within certain parameters of the church/funeral site?).
Ugh.
I'm sorry that this difficult thing is being made more difficult.
Not illegal if they are more than 1,000 feet away. Amazingly, though, over 2,000 people are planning to show up to create a human wall between them and the memorial. The support has been incredible.
I've been nauseated for the past two or three days. Just weirdly so. We have a lot going on. Post-dog death, I've been kind of grief-ridden and meh. I've been moaning about the nausea to H. He kept saying, 'Take a Tums.' 'No, this is wrong. This is bad. It's probably colitis.' 'Take a Tums.' 'You don't know me! This is e.Coli from the lettuce, the pineapple, etc.' 'Take a Tums. Seriously.'
Tums. Three days of misery gone.
Ewps.
Aw, Scotty I didn't see a post about your dog. I'm so sorry. (hug2)
I'm making lasagna tomorrow for dinner. I just realized I got everything except the lasagana noodles. womp womp.
I made chicken and dumplings in the crock pot for dinner tonight. It smelled soooo good for hours. We got back from shopping and all of a sudden the smell made me want to puke. Effing pregnancy. Cereal for dinner it is!!
SIL and I made an arrangement to babysit one afternoon a month so the other couple can go on a date. They took my kid a few weeks ago and said it was a blast. I got nephew today.... Um...not a blast. He screamed for two hours. My mom came to help because DH had to fix his Jeep (he's been having car trouble). I put DS down for a nap and nephew was fine until DS woke up. Cue the screaming. Is it possible he doesn't like DS? Or maybe just other kids because he never leaves their house, hes with SILs mom during the day.
They were on their way back so YAY. Then SIL wanted to stay and visit with DS. Really? We saw you all afternoon yesterday, and we are going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow. Your kid has been screaming in my face all day, GO HOME! Nephew continued to scream until I put DS down at 7:30 and they decided to go home. I need a drink.
I painted my nails and they're cupcake girl levels of terrible lol. They're sugar coated pink, have neon pink zebra stripes and breast cancer ribbons on them lolol. Whatever it was fun.

I got my hair done today and I hate the color. I think I'm going to have to go back in next week and have them do something with it.
I pulled jax from his pre-k this week because his behavior was driving me nuts and he was become very aggressive. Each time i talked to his teacher she just kept saying she has a lot of rowdy boys and was clearly feeling overwhelmed with them. When I picked him up on his last day there was a note in his bag saying he pushed a kid and was put in time out. I found a new place that I'm hoping will be a better fit.
Poor Leo has a stomach bug. I feel terrible. Today was the first time he has had a non family sitter while he was awake. He woke up from his nap to a stranger. Layed around for an hour and then threw up. This all makes me feel guilty, which is dumb.
He is sleeping so hopefully the worst is behind us.
DH has been traveling 13 hours away for work since last May. When he does make it home he has to leave on Sunday, but not this week! He'll be here for 10 days and I am so excited. Last night I kept getting "that" feeling in my stomach, only to go "you don't have to leave tomorrow!!!" Sex for 10 whole days. sigh.....
We have 30 hours left on the 72 hour strike notice clock and the closer it gets to the 72 hour mark the more and more it seems like we are going to strike. I'm getting really scared now.
