And yes, really terrifying to encounter on the road. The drive to Steamboat is 2 hours of awful for that reason. But the picture is cute, so that's nice!

Glad you were able to avoid it. I have to be extra careful driving home from my parents house because of deer. My step dad hit one leaving their property a few years ago as it darted across the road. Even on 290 out that way they have them running across. I take ir extra slow because i dont want to hit one and tgey do major damage to vehicles. We hit a raccoon driving to Mississippi in June and it was awful. It just ran out in front of my Tahoe and no braking could ha r stopped the outcome. I still feel bad about it.
