Our vet thinks Oscar (3yr old cocker spaniel) has a slipped disc in his back so he's going under for xrays this morning Anybody have experience with treating this without surgery?
Also my dad is having an MRI today to confirm his lung cancer has spread to his brain. We're trying to stay positive that the aggressive treatments are whats making him dizzy, but the oncologist says it's likely spread. He was diagnosed barely 3 months ago and he's only 56. This is happening so quick and I need to stop googling prognosis after metastasis.
Could use your positive thoughts today.
UPDATES: Dog's back is fine but he does have moderate hip dysplasia... two weeks of pain meds and rest, and a joint supplement for life and he should be back to mostly pain-free. Phew.
Dad's MRI is done and the tech confirmed that he does, in fact, have a brain. Results Thursday at his appt.

Sending lots of t&P. My Mom had metastatic breast cancer that spread to her brain and lived for three years after re-diagnosis. I am happy to talk about it anytime if you need, she was 50 at the time. It is a whole lot of unfair shittiness, I hope you guys get good test results.
