The first time, it took 9 months, a PCOS diagnosis (though I'd assumed that for years before TTC), a round of Clomid and metformin. Then I had a m/c at 10w. The second time, I did acupuncture, used preseed, and was still on metformin and charting. We had sex twice after I was cleared to TTC again, and that time resulted in our take home baby. I charted both times.
So um, 13 months? I only ovulated twice during that time. I was 28 for the 1st, 29 for the 2nd, and turned 30 two weeks before DD was born.
Pg 1: first month ttc, charted, ended in m/c, 26 Pg 2: second month ttc, charted and opks, 26 Pg 3: first month not Tta, jumped DH when I though I was ovulating based on my typical cycle length, 28
Now that we're done I'm terrified I'll get pregnant with my Mirena since we're pretty fertile.

We started TTC in October 2008 when I went off BCP. However, I never got AF so we sent to the RE in early 2009. I got pregnant in December 2009 on my second cycle with the RE via IUI.
This time, we've been trying since October 2011, and I'm in 2ww for my second cycle with the RE.
We got pregnant the first time we didn't avoid. I was charting but we weren't officially TTC yet. That ended in a m/c. I got pregnant again as soon as I was cleared to try again, but it wound up being a chemical pregnancy/m/c. Then I got pregnant with this baby the next cycle.
So, basically, we got pregnant every time we tried, but the first two wound up in miscarriage.
It took us a year. This included charting, acupuncture, CM-checking, CBEFM, progesterone tests, 2 rounds of fermara, a SA, CD3 blood test and finally a round of Metformin. (The CD3 blood test confirmed my PCOS and the Met did the trick on my first cycle).
4 months the first time and 7 months the second time. Used OPK's with both. I was 26 when I had my son and I just turned 29 and should be having my second any day.

We got pregnant the first try, much to my surprise.
I had been diagnosed with mild PCOS and always had irregular long cycles (31-90 days long, no rhyme or reason!) and had been told by a doctor several years before that I probably would have trouble conceiving. DH actually decided he wanted to start trying a few months before we had previously decided on, and I agreed thinking it would take us awhile to get pregnant. The couple of months before that first try my cycles had been 37-39 days....that kind of consistency was unheard of for me, so I guess my body did some self-regulating?
I was 28 when DD was conceived, 29 when she was born. DH was 29/30.

We got pregnant on our 5th cycle TTC. I charted to TTA for 15 months before TTC'ing. I started OPK's after the 2nd or 3rd cycle. Ironically, we got PG on the cycle we had the least amount of sex in my FW (DH was out of town, we only got O and O+1).
18 months. For 15 of those months, I tried to guess when I ovulated based on cervical mucus. Then I started OPKs and discovered that I got a positive on them 3 days before i had egg white mucus. Timing sex based on that was successful
with DD, first cycle actually trying, although we weren't preventing for about 3 months. I was 29 when I gave birth.
We tried two cycles this year and didn't get pg. We're taking a break now for other reasons.
I don't chart. I know my body pretty well, I know when I O since I'm normally regular. If we have trouble when we resume TTC, then I'll chart but I hate taking my temp.
we were lucky with our timing - i have PCOS and needed IF assistance (clomid + IUI) to get pg with a pregnancy that would last (I had one mc when i got pg on my own, which is typical for PCOS women... crappy old eggs = many m/c)
we were with the IF doc for 3 months before I got pg on my first cycle with DS1.
with the twins it took 2 cycles of the same - so it took us about 4 months.
i was 34 when i had Griffin and 36 when i had the twins.

5 months, 4 cycles- I have long 35-40 day cycles, we didn't chart, just had lots of sex ; ) I guess it worked! with having long cycles I figured I didn't ovulate until day 18-25 usually. I am 30
Six months from when I went off birth control. My first couple cycles were long, which drove me a little crazy. Got pregnant the second cycle I used OPKs. I only charted one month, just to get an idea for my cycle, but had agreed with MH that I wouldn't go "crazy" (he thought charting was nuts) unless we'd been trying for 6+ months. He was fine with OPKs, though, so I did that.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I got pg on my 4th cycle. I charted using fertility friend. I wouldn't have gotten ku otherwise since I ovulated in the middle of a fun week of me working backshift and dh working days, so I had to wake dh up at 2am to rally. Not exactly romantic sex, but it did the trick.
