Clarisonic Mia charging question

My mom just bought one today and for the first charge, the brush head is pulsing while it's charging.  Makes a pulsing sound and frankly really annoying.  Does it do this every time it charges?  I have a Mia from a couple of years ago and it does not make any sounds while charging.  Does anyone have experience with a recent model?

Mine pulses right when the charger is connected and when it's disconnected. Is it the magnetic charger? Maybe make sure that it's set securely.

Mine pulses when I connect and disconnect too.

Yeah that's how mine is too but hers is literally pulsing the entire time. We're taking it back, assuming it's defective. How annoying!

Me three. Mine doesn't pulse while it's mid-charge.

Mine only pulses when it is first connected and then disconnected. It sounds like a defective unit
