Pandora is 37 months and change. I managed to keep her rear facing this whole time.
The other day she gets in,turns herself so she is forward facing and announced that big girls sit this way. DW has been after me to turn her forever so she told her she could sit forward facing. I was outnumbered. I was really hoping to keep her RF a little longer.
I changed the seat and,oh my goodness, the child was in heaven! Squealing, thanking me profusely and calling out everything she saw. She was so proud. "I'm big"
Please tell me three plus is okay to FF. Should I have battled more? I can't decide if I am upset because of safety concerns or because my baby isn't a baby anymore :-( Both?
The recommendation when my boys were little was still 1y/20lbs, no one was saying 2y at that point - so they were RF till about 18m or so when Gray was finally 20lbs.
But I hear ya. Both kids are still in high back boosters (I really wish I had gotten something that harnessed to 100lbs) and Carter is topping out on the top of his booster, which means he'll need to go to a backless booster soon. That is giving me heart palpitations.
