That's where we went on our honeymoon.
The 7 mile beach is beautiful.
We stayed at a Sandals and would definitely go back. I stayed at the Beaches there for spring break when I was younger and that wasn't as nice as the Sandals- but it was still fun.
Yes! We went there for our honeymoon and stayed at the Rockhouse and Tensing Pen. We loved it so much that we went back with my family a few years ago and stayed at Catcha Falling Star. Everyone in my family had a blast, including my mom. So, Negril is made up of two main areas: the cliffs and the 7-mile beach. All the places I've stayed at have been on the cliffs and I HIGHLY recommend it. It's fun - you can jump from the cliffs into the ocean and swim/snorkel in the little coves. It's quiet and relaxing there. But if you want more nightlife or want to hang out at the beach you can take a cab down the road to the 7-mile beach. It's a lot more busy and crowded there, where all the big resorts are. There's more to do but there's also more hustlers and nonsense going on. We loved the live reggae on the beach at night and all the great restaurants in Negril.
Oh my gosh, just thinking about this makes me really want to go back again! I know some people say they had bad experiences in Jamaica but from what I've gathered, they usually were somewhere other than Negril. Kingston (and Montego Bay?) have certain reputations for not being that safe and a little seedy. But Negril---great place!
We also went to CSA for our HM. We didn't stray much from the resort (we did two excursions off the property) but we loved it. The food was good, the beach was beautiful and everyone we met was so nice.

Yep, we LOVED CSA. I would definitely recommend Negril, it's really beautiful.
OMG, thanks! I booked our trip already and then stumbled on all these shitty reviews. I guess people either really love or hate Jamaica. We're going to Beaches...not exactly my ideal, but dd will love it. I just want a beautiful beach and plenty of fruity cocktails.
My cousin got married at Beaches Negril last year and it was amazing. The resort is pretty brand new, and it was super nice. We've been to Jamaica tons of times before, but this was our first time in Negril. Beautiful beaches, but it was a hike from the airport.
