A couple years ago I let my friend's daughter borrow my stash for a sleepover.  I didn't think to check the bottles when i got them back, but they weren't closed tight.

Apart from new ones I've purchased, I've been finding them really thick & streaky.  And the colour chips the next day (where as I can usually go almost 5-6 days without it looking like ass).

How can I tell what's good or no?  I have to admit most of my colours are in three clear colour families, so I know I'm just going to keep buying more of the same.  It just seems so wasteful?

We do, but will that help with the tendency to chip?

Never. Get thinner (NOT remover) and thin it a few drops at a time.

when it is really separated, or thick. I figure the ones that get like that are super old, and I don't really love them anymore (or I've found a new favorite), so out with the old, in with the new!

If the bottles are several years old I wouldn't consider it a waste to just replace them.

I guess I've been doing it wrong. I always chuck it when it looks like ass.The color changes, separates and gets chunky.
