I had this happen to me. It was a matter of a clerk somewhere manually keying in someone's card incorrectly. I contacted my credit card company, they noted that it was unusual activity in a state across the country from where I lived, and immediately removed the charge and overnighted me a new card with new numbers. It took about five minutes to resolve. I hope you have a similar experience!
