i thought this week's episode was kind of boring. a little bit of backstabbing by don which was interesting and seemed somewhat out of character for him. i did enjoy seeing betty's weight struggles, as someone who has these issues myself! but really, it didn't seem like much happened.
The thing that jumped out at me was that they're really trying to sell Rory Gilmore (can't remember her character's name) as Betty from a few years ago. Putting her in a fur in Pete's fantasy was so obvious. They're making it really obvious that Pete's going down the same path of destruction that Don did, but I don't think he's going to be able to handle it.
I loved Sally standing up to her parents. Bratty and devious, sure, but she's a pre-teen. I like seeing her growing up.
I loved the scene with Betty and the Reddi-whip. I laughed a lot in this episode, with Roger especially. I also liked that Jane was able to make him see that he hurt her. Maybe Roger is growing up a little bit.
Ooh, also, I thought the weight watchers meetings were an interesting contrast to Betty's therapy the first season, when her therapist didn't even talk to her, just let her talk and it was kept so private.
Things are a lot more out in the open, people can talk about their problems and their emotions, and I think the older characters are having trouble adjusting to that.

I also really liked this episode. I enjoyed seeing Betty back. I wanted to slap her when she told Sally about Anna. But I felt badly for her when she was in the apartment waiting for the kids. It's clear that she's jealous of what Megan and Don have, and that Don told Megan about Anna and his past. It's like she doesn't realize that she never would have loved Don or been with him if she'd known the truth from the start. She just sees that Megan has the life she could have had if Don had 'let' her keep modeling. But instead she's out in the 'burbs with a boring life and an old husband.
I couldn't believe Don left Ginsberg's ads in the taxi. Since when does Don Draper need to play dirty to get ahead? And I also *loved* the, "I don't think about you at all" line.
I'm tired of them trying to make Pete the next Don. He's slimy and gross and super obnoxious. I don't want him to get any women. Unless he ends up with the clap. Ha ha. I did think it was funny, though, when he told Beth's (Isn't that Rory's name in the show?) husband on the train he would spend Thanksgiving giving it to his wife if he wanted to be with his mistress. Gettin' ballsy there, buddy.
I liked this episode too. I liked Betty's storyline. She just seems so sad. She is jealous of the relationship Don and Megan have and I think she wonders why Don couldn't be that way with her. Don never left her little love notes like he does for Megan.
The weight and eating parts were really uncomfortable to watch. I still root for Betty even if she can be conniving.
Finally watched it. The whole devolution (is that a word?) of Don's performance at work has been really interesting. I like how he's basically competing with someone who's far below him in terms of rank. That Ginsberg sure has an ego though.
I have to say, I still like Megan. She's smart. I think she's good for Don, but not necessarily that he's good for her.
Betty was like usual...blah.
I still can't understand why Pete wants Beth when he has effing Allison Brie at home. WTF?
