Usually when I give a presentation at Curriculum Night, there's not a lot of detail. But my principal has asked me to give a special presentation about a specific part of my curriculum at Open House this weekend.
I have a PowerPoint (or whatever the Google Drive equivalent is), but I am trying to keep the slides really simple. I'll go into more depth as I'm talking.
Do you use notecards or do you just put notes on a piece of paper and read from that? I realize this seems dumb, but notecards just seem so... 2001. Would it look weird?
I usually printed my PowerPoint and had extra notes on it, just to make sure I didn't forget anything. Knowing your material well is the best thing, though.
Use presenter tools. You see the notes on your screen only not on the big screen. Normally I don't need notes but it is nice to know they are there in case.
