Well I called, left a message, she called back, left a message, I called back and finally got a hold of her.
Turns out the Nurse has only been there for a little over 90 days (my first incident was 3 months ago...) so they are going to talk to her about the incidents, discuss protocol (evidently their procedure is stick twice and then get someone else), and send her back to the lab for some more training and testing.
I expressed that I thought that she had potential, just needed some work on draws obviously as well as handling the unexpected.
Also my right arm now has a quarter sized dark purple and black bruise with about an oreo sized swollen greenish spot surrounding it and a bruised blue line 1" x4" coming from it. Looks like an awful lollipop.
I truly hope that she keeps her job because I hate to be the person the puts someone out, but like you guys said, it's my body.
I'm glad you called and got some resolution. I have found that are some nurses I've seen that just aren't good with blood draws, but still it's good that they are going to give her extra training.
