Disclosure- I watched the first season so I knew what was going to happen.

I loved the book! I was actually glad I watched the show first because it was easier for me to know the characters.

My favorite characters are Daenerys and Tyrion.

I'm excited to read the next book to see what happens next!

Loved it. I also watched the show before reading the book and I liked having a face to put with the characters. Sean Bean was perfect for Ned.

Did you watch the second season? Not going to spoil it, but it differs from Clash of Kings a little bit.

No, I probably won't see it until the season comes out on dvd. We don't have HBO.

I really need to give this book another chance. I'm dying to get in on the book love, the HBO series is fantastic.

I finally finished GoT last week. I started reading it a few months ago but put it down after 100 pages or so because I just couldn't get into it. This time I made myself plow through the beginning and by page 200 or so I was hooked & couldn't put it down. Now I'm contemplating buying the series since there is a huge wait list for the next book at my library.

I am loving this series and ordered HBO just so I could watch season 2 (I believe the marathon is this weekend).

I finished book 2 and can see that the show is a little different for this one. I am dying to finish up some other books so I can start book 3 - everyone says that one is the best. They are so long though that I need to take breaks for other activities between them.

I think I just read in Entertainment Weekly that book 3 is going to be 2 seasons of the show. I wish the seasons weren't so short!

I say go for it! I'm glad DH already owns all of them, so I don't have to get them from the library.

I loved it and immediately went into book 2 but I'm stalled about halfway though book 3 {sigh}. I haven't seen any of the series on HBO maybe that would get me interested again.
