My Brother, lives 8 miles away from the huge fire in CO. I just got done talking to him, and he said the news brief this morning ended with them saying that they now think an arsonist set the fire, and they even have a description of the guy.
I personally think that they should set this guy on fire and see how that goes for him..I just don't understand how someone could watch these places burn and all these families losing their precious keepsakes and memories. Terrible, just terrible!
Okay, not really, but if an arsonist is responsible, throw the book at him/her. The disregard for property, people, animals and the environment is horrifying and yet people still do this.
You're going to have to clarify which huge fire. There are currently 4 going on. The largest (currently) was set by lightning. The Boulder and Estes Park fire were also set by lightning.
They think the COsprings fire was set by a person. There's ALWAYS fuckers who get it in their heads to watch it burn, baby, burn.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Dept was just on the news. They said that at this point, they have no way of knowing how the fire was set nor do they have any suspects in mind. They probably will not know how it was set for some time. Arsonists have been setting small fires in the area, however it's mostly in Teller County.
CA recently tried and sentenced a guy who set a forest fire (I think in the San Bernardino National Forest) that killed 2 or 3 people. I think it might have been accidental, but it was still his fault.
