I have a hair appt in 1.5 hours and I have no clue what to do. Last time I got red highlights and ended up coloring over them after 2 days. I really liked when I had blond highlights underneath. Should I do something like that again? I am open to all suggestions. I am definitely going to get more layers and am debating side swept bangs?? Here is today.
Dude. Don't change a thing. At all, ever. You are gorgeous. I love your hair color. I wish it was out of a box so you could tell me what to buy and I could get the exact.same.thing. lol
It is totally out of a box. I had red highlights and covered it with Revlon Dark brown! It cost a whopping $2.97. Lol!!
So you guys don't think even a few highlights for some dimension??
No to more layers, it's too short to have more without looking dated.
You are very beautiful. Am I a jerk if I suggest using less eyeliner? I think your eyes would pop more.
Haha no to being a jerk. It is not the first time it has been suggested. In my mind it never looks that thick in person. I really need to go get a thinner pencil.

Try using an angled brush and dark brown shadow, it lines really well but is softer.

You are very pretty!
What is a good shadow that would stay? That has always been my concern with using a shadow is that it would rub off by the end of the day.

I always use the darkest brown in a neutral pallete. Right now I'm using one from Laura Mercier. If you want it tone more intense, wet the brush. You can also use a creme liner, I like the Mac ones.

Oh I use a Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil and I love it! I will have to try the shadow.
I'd do the same color, but maybe a few gold highlights, very low, very natural. Not under, but on top. And I second the less eyeliner suggestion; you are very fair, your hair is very dark, and that much dark liner circling your eyes makes you look a little hard. And you are far too pretty for that!
Ok I'm going to work on the eyeliner. I feel like VeryContrary right now lol!

Ok I think I'm going to do a few caramelish highlights.

You should shave it all off, so I don't have to be jealous.
OR you could add the side swept bangs and additional layers. I personally prefer the highlights for the spring/summer but you would look great either way!
Also, I have a question for you. Did you get your hair professionally dyed before? Was it hard to convert to the at-home stuff? I really want to save money by dying my own hair but I'm scared!

I have always done a mix of at home and professional. I will go a couple of years doing at home and then go back to professional. My hair is really dark so I have just always done dark brown at home colors and they are pretty fool proof.
