T is two. I expect him to do certain things (with my help of course)- brush his teeth, clean up before bed, pick up his toys, etc.
Lately it's been a lot of "NOO!!! MOMMY DO IT!"
Would a sticker chart work? I'm not going to do the whole "get 10 stickers and get a toy," putting a sticker on the chart should be enough of a reward. I also think that there are certain things that he can do, and is old enough to do because he lives in our house.
"You will do what I tell you to or you won't like me anymore."
Personally, I get stabby when children tell me no. I didn't ask you. I'm telling you and every time I tell you to do something and you say no, you will sit right here in this chair and not get up until you're ready to go do what I told him to. Same thing with the teeth brushing. He will sit there until he's willing to have his teeth brushed.
Why should he get a sticker for brushing his teeth?
Really? He shouldn't. But he's two. I want to make this shit as easy on us all as possible.
He gets time-out, but when I'm walking out the door, and I ask him to put his pjs in the laundry and he yells "no! Mommy do it!" there has to be something better and faster than a time out for two minutes.

There isn't. "We are not leaving this house until you've put your pjs in the hamper."
And he doesn't have to stay in time out for two minutes. He just has to sit on the bottom of the stairs or on the special I don't like you right now rug until he's put his pjs in the hamper.
Once he understands how things go when he doesn't listen, I promise you it will get better and faster. You can't expect that to happen without some tough work. If that means getting up a bit earlier and starting the heading out the car process earlier to give you plenty of time to work up your shank eye, so be it.
