I'm finishing up Catching Fire tonight, and I'm hoping to snag a copy of Mockingjay at the library tomorrow morning. I'm WAY behind the times on this series, but I can see now why everyone was freaking out about it. So addictive.
I'm reading the latest Bridget Jones for book club, believe it or not. It's so bad. The first movie/book was kind of cute and charming. But the exact same character at age 50 is just kind of sad.
My book is so depressing I can only bring myself to read it on my commute.
I don't open it at lunch, I don't open it at home, NO. If it wasn't for bookclub I would have stopped after 50 pages.
OOOooooohhhh, what is it? I love bashing book club books
A Fine Balance.
It's okay. The author tells you the ending in the first 50 pages so that's a relief, but it's 600 pages and just *depressing*. Set in India during the government upheaval in the 70s. 3 different castes. Just fucking depressing, maybe moreso b/c I know the 2 lowest caste members end up horribly.
