Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth?
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs?
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too?
My breasts didn't grow a ton, but they were fuller and heavier, if that makes sense.
I did use nursing bras and took a couple with me to the hospital. No tanks but in retrospect, I should have!
As for what I wore in the hospital, once the bleeding slowed way down after the first day, I wore black yoga pants and v-neck t-shirts (four days total in the hospital). In fact, that was my uniform for weeks after he was born. lol

Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? Yes, much more. They eventually got smaller but initially they were HUGE.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? Yes, helpful. And at the hospital I just wore nursing pjs but my milk hadn't come in.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I brought pjs because I felt more comfortable.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? Yes, absolutely had to for months.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? YES. Like, gigantic boobs.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Yes, I use both. Were they helpful? Extremely. Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? Yes I did. After ditching the gown I made sure my boobs were easy access.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I brought yoga pants, sweatpants and a bursing gown and robe. I used all three. The hospital gown got ditched right after I gave birth and took a shower!
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? I slept in my nursing tank and a loose pair of pj pants.
They were embarrassingly large. My cleavage was up to my color bone and I was wearing unlined bras. I ended up wearing 2 sports bras and a cami to strap them down but I wasn't BF so I can't help you with the whole nursing tank situation.
I would definitely bring your own clothes. Bring stuff you are fine getting rid of if you need to. I brought a sleep shirt to wear in the hospital because they need access to you but it was much better than a hospital gown. It helped me feel more human.
My boobs got big during pregnancy and even bigger post partum. I felt like a porn star. I went from a C pre pregnancy to a EE after baby. They are getting out of control again and I'm not looking forward to the monsters they will become in March.
I lived in nursing tanks and bras for a year. I couldn't wear anything with underwire or it would give me clogged ducts. I preferred tanks because I was more covered when nursing, especially NIP (I didn't use a cover).
I wore my hospital gown for the day he was born and then the next day switched to yoga pants and a nursing tank. Much more comfortable for me.
I slept in a nursing sleep bra that i got at target that just kept the girls more contained. It was basically like a really loose sports bra. I hated the way my boobs felt without some sort of containment because they were so big and heavy, even when I was sleeping. Plus, I would leak a lot so I could shove a cloth diaper in that bra to sop up any milk that might have leaked during the night.
Yes. They are huge. HUGE. My girl friends are fascinated by my huge boobs since I was barely a 34b before.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth?
Yes to the bras. I don't have any nursing tanks, my regular tasks work fine to pull down and nurse. I have almost sports bra type nursing bras from target that I wore almost exclusively at the hospital.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? As soon as I could, I wore loose fitting pjs. I had to wear the gown for about 3 days as I had an emergency c section and had the epidural thing in for that long. It felt great to change in to pjs and shower. I was in the hospital for 10 days and had a very traumatic birth, though, so I know that my circumstances are unusual.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too?
Yes, I usually sleep in a nursing bra or a regular tank top. I still an quite engorged by the morning so I can't sleep without anything under my shirt like I used to.

I had a C/S and wore my hospital gown the entire time. A waist band would have been uncomfortable and they check the incision often. I had no energy to change clothes, I felt so drained.
I had my baby on Mon but milk did not come in until Sat. I did not BF but was only engorged for a couple of days.
I wore the hospital gown the entire stay for both kids. Too many people coming in to check the goods out for me to keep taking off pants. And with the mess for the first labor and the c/s with #2 I don't think pants would have been very comfortable b
Eta. I wore nursing tanks and bras. I slept in them sometimes depending on how my boobs felt b
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? Yes. A couple couple sizes.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? I wore a nursing tank back to my c-section and may not have taken off the nursing tanks through the duration of nursing my son.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? Comfy gauchos, a nursing tank, and a lightweight robe. I was comfy.
Did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? Yes. I had to wear nursing pads or I'd leak everywhere, so I slept in a tank. Plus, my son nursed at night until he was 18 months (kill me), so that made things easier.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? Yes, not too much but they are very round and bouncy. Also, no one told me this so I will tell you. One grew more than the other. This time and last time ol righty is about a half cup larger and produce more milk.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? Hell yes. Right now, I only wear nursing tanks with cardigans or nursing bras under nursing tops. I'm all about convenience.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I changed into comfy clothes of my own when the bleeding slowed. I brought a pair of my non maternity pajamas, but they were too small the first day or so, so I wore stretchy yoga pants, a t shirt or nursing tank, and a cardigan.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? I sleep in a nursing sleeping bra. My breasts let down simultaneously so I have to have breast pads on 24/7 or I leak all over while nursing. Glamorous! I wear Ward Cleaver style pajamas at night and just unbutton them. I have 2 cold weather babies and I hate hate hate being cold at 3am while nursing. My arms have to be covered.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I suppose I should at least bring a bra in a bigger size to the hospital just in case. The ones I have now feel kind of snug and I've only grown a cup (C to D).
Were you hot in the hospital? Should I really invest in a light weight robe? I have a thick fleece one lol. Or I suppose I can just bring a jacket of some kind.
I am always cold and found my room to be very warm. I barely used the blanket on my bed. I assume they keep it warm for the babies. I did wear a robe when walking the halls, which they will want you to do.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? From first tri on, I felt like my boobs were freakshow huge. I can't even differentiate between the hugeness. Just huge, huge and still huge.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? I used the GlamourMom (I think that's what they were called) long tanks. It's all I used, I liked them.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I brought my own gowns. Big, comfortable and cute gowns. And new. I went and bought some when I scheduled my induction.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? I slept in my nursing tank.
I would say they grew some - they felt WAY different.
I did not use nursing bras/tanks. A) because I could not afford them and B)My size is kinda hard to find. I did use a front closing bra which did make nursing/pumping much easier.
Honestly, I can't remember if I wore a bra to bed or not :/ I used to before, now I don't. I did not while I was pregnant.
In the hospital I wore comfy sweat pants and a t-shirt. And socks. I was NOT hot at all - I was cold. All.The.Time. For about two months I was constantly freezing.
Yes. Dear God yes. They got hugely engorged, and when that went down, they were still a DD when I'm usually a large C or small D in the same band size, until I weaned.
I had both, but used the tanks more. I'd just wear one of those with a cardigan over it most days. Splurge after your breast size regulates and get the really high quality ones. I forget the brand but they sell them on amazon based on bra size.
I brought a bra to the hospital, but they wouldn't let me wear it the first couple of days. I had a c-section though.
I just used the hospital gowns. Everything is so messy it's just easier.
I slept in a nursing sports bra until I weaned her. I leaked at night.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? Yes, I was a C before pregnancy and a D while I was nursing. And then a saggy B after I weaned
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? Yes, yes, and yes
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? Brought my own clothes but used the gown for a while. They like to come in and look at your vagina what feels like hourly for the first day
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top either or
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? When I was engorged in the beginning my tiny A boobs were the size of my face. When they settled down they were a D.They got smaller as I nursed less and went back to tiny boobs towards the end.
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? I did not. I like to have a layer of padding because I don't like for others to see my nipples.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I didn't wear a bra at the hospital. I had gotten two bras before I had W and they were the Bravado Body silk bras. I wore them the entire time I was nursing but I got a few prettier ones one my supply was established. As far as clothes go, I wore the hospital gown part of the time and I wore work out pants (the loose meshy kind) and a t-shirt.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? I slept in a nursing bra until I weaned. I didn't love it.
My boobs got bigger, yes. I brought a nursing bra to the hospital, but only used it for coming home. I wore my own pjs in the hospital (button front so I could leave it open for skin to skin).
My boobs aren't huge, so they are suportive enough for wearing around the house. Also, before your milk comes in you don't really know what size bra you will need. These solve that problem because they are pretty stretchy.
I got bravado nursing bras once I knew my size and they are awesome.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? A little, they were just more really full and firm than anything else. I woke up and all of a sudden they were up in my chin and hurt like hell...that got a lot better once AJ had gotten a couple of days in feeding off full boobs and they settled down some. Now they're about what they were when I was pg, mid D cup (were a high B cup before I got pg).
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? Yes and yes. The tanks were more useful in the early days, but I still live in nursing bras. I had both with me in the hospital and got use out of both so I'm glad I had them.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I wore a nursing tank and pj shorts or pants with a drawstring, and had a 3/4 length cotton robe that I would throw on if I got chilly at all (which wasn't often)
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? Yes, and still do.
They did at first (engorgement) but went back down to normal. They are lower, though .
I used nursing bras. I do not like tight tanks so I never used my nursing tanks. I found them uncomfortable. For ones that are comfortable and forgiving on size, I like bravado body silk. I still wear mine when at home since I'm still nursing dd but only at home.
In the hospital, I just wore the hospital gown. I did bring pjs but the hospital gown was comfortable and convenient. I labored and delivered in a bravado original bra. I wore one the whole time I was in the hospital. I was not comfortable free-boobing it in front of visitors. There isn't any metal on it so the nurses said it was completely fine.
ETA: did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? Yes, I still sleep in the bravado originals.
Were you hot in the hospital? Should I really invest in a light weight robe? I have a thick fleece one lol. Or I suppose I can just bring a jacket of some kind.
My lightweight cotton robe was fine for if I got chilly, plus I had both shorts and pants to go back and forth between if I needed to and extra blankets on the bed just in case.
Mine went from a DD to a G!! They were massive. I lived in nursing tanks and bras. I got most of my nursing tanks at target and bras at motherhood. I don't think I bought any until I was home from the hospital. I lived in sports bras for a few days until I could get out and about.
In the hospital I just wore the gown, socks and panties provided. I brought sweats to wear home and lived in sweats and yoga pants until I went back to work.
Did your breasts grow more when milk came in? Yes. They grew like another cup size after milk came in
Did you use nursing tanks/bras? Were they helpful? Did you use them at the hospital after giving birth? I wear nursing bras. I bought two nursing tanks but don't really use them much. I prefer to just wear my nursing bras and Old Navy tanks. I took them to hospital with me but I only put the bra on when visitors were coming.
What did you use at the hospital while recovering? Just the gown or did you bring your own clothes/pjs? I did take my own pjs and robe but ended up just wearing the hospital gown the whole time.
Did you sleep in a bra or a tank top too? Yes, I always sleep in my nursing bra, plus I always have the nursing pads since I tend to leak.
I also took pads with me to the hospital, but ended up wearing the gigantic ones they give you at the hospital instead.
I have super small boobs, I think they're AA or even AAA but they filled out some when my milk came in. Not a whole lot, I don't think I ever had a shot of getting a whole cup size or anything lol. I used nursing tanks, nursing bras didn't ever fit me. I wore a nursing tank with yoga pants at the hospital.
