DH and I started TTC about 2.5 weeks ago. We haven't been charting, temping, etc but I did look at an O calculator just to get a general idea. According to that, O should have been about 1 week ago. Since yesterday, I've had some cramping, sore breasts and have been a bit more tired than usual. AF is not due for another 2 weeks. Is this just my body trying to regulate being off BC, or is there a real chance I could be preggo already? Obviously the only way to know will be to POAS, but I have 2 weeks to wait. Anyone have really early signs?
When did you go off birth control? Sometimes you ovulate pretty quickly after stopping the pill, so I suppose it could be possible. If you are wondering, just take a cheapie test.
Do you really get your period 3 weeks after O? I got a BFP 9DPO. I think in a couple days you could POAS but its probably too early.
This. 3 weeks after O is a very very long LP. The average LP is about 14 days. Is this your first cycle off BC? If so, then I wouldn't count on when you will get your period. Also, those O calculators are kind of crap IMO.
But yeah, I would just wait a few more days and test.

I went off BC on June 9.
Well, typically you wouldn't ovulate until around two weeks after going off birth control so I doubt you are pregnant enough to be having symptoms yet, but anything is possible

Yes, this is my first cycle off. I have read that the calculators are crap and I don't take much stock in them. I have been on BC for so long (10+ years) that I'm sure my system is totally whacked out right now. I'm just hoping these aren't AF cramps 2 weeks out, otherwise it could be a long couple of weeks!

Oh, when I got off BC my body did crazy things it hadn't done in teh 10+ years I was on it. When I was off BC I got heart palipitaions, ovulation cramps, breast tenderness, hormonal shifts NONE of which I got on BC (and I was off it for three months before we even TTC so I know I wasn't pregnant).

I've heard that the pill can sort of kick your body into a "perfect" 28 day cycle. I know it did for me -- I'd been on the pill almost 10 years, then when in went off to TTC, I ovulated exactly 14 days after stopping the pill, then got my period 14 days later. I got pregnant after 2 months, so I'm not sure how long it would have lasted.

This is good info, thanks. I'm sure my body is just trying to readjust without the BC. Somehow, I didn't think it would be this easy

This was the case for me, too. When I actually was pregnant, I started feeling the sore breasts, crampiness, etc. around the same time I would have felt it preceding a period (so the week or so before AF was due). I totally thought it was PMS. I also thought my first case of m/s was due to too much drinking the night before!
Ah, gotcha. My mom told me it needed time to get out of your system, lol.
Some people say that but my OB actually told me the first three months you are the most fertile. There's a school of thought that you should stop a few months before TTCing just so you can get into charting but I think that would have driven me insane to chart but not try. Everyone has a different thought on the subject but there's no medical reason to stop as far as I know.

ditto this, but the charting thing makes no sense to me. If you get knocked up the first month off birth control, then who cares about charting? And there is no reason you can't chart while also TTC...I just don't get the reasoning.
Have you tried charting your cycles? Once you've read the info, it's super simple to do, and it takes most, if not all of the guess work out of this process. Most people use FertilityFriend.com

I haven't tried charting yet as this is my first cycle off BC. We decided we would just have fun the first couple of months and see what happens, but I may start charting just to drive myself less crazy. Thanks for the fertility friend suggestion!
Well, for some, it adds to the stress, but for me it was fun stress. I just wanted to have an accurate due date because my cycles were slightly longer than 28 days and I didn't want any chance of an induction.
