If a clinic offers both walk in and same day appointments, do you think having an appointment (even if it's same day) minimizes wait time at all?
I have to go today...but don't have childcare until after 5. I'm debating the merits of calling and making an appointment, but I figure I'll be there with the masses anyway...
That's my thought, too, but when I call, their automated system (somewhat strangely) tries to divert you away from making an appointment and sends you to a recording of the walk in hours. Maybe it's just not the preferred method of scheduling for them...I love advance notice when patients are coming in. Different strokes and all...but thanks!
At the hospital we go to, the urgent care department prioritizes appointments (even same day ones) over walk-ins. I've done both and having an appointment definitely helped.

(And, I'm okay...or I will be!)
yeah, it is probably easier for them not to have to talk to someone to schedule an appointment, but it makes sense that it would be quicker for you that way.
