I woke up today to a dream of a plane crashing into a house and running from debris. Thanks Blacklist.
So are we left to assume Red is her father? It was alluded to, but never spoken. Who was that woman whose profile he was looking at at the end of the episode? His other, evil daughter? Looks too young to be an ex wife....did they ever say what happened to her mother?
Holy awkwardness when Tom met Red outside the hospital...you could tell Tom recognized him and had to play it off, and Red just toyed with him because of it. So now I don't trust Tom anymore. He's just nice to look at. (looks better on this show than on 90210...must be the glasses ;-))
Anyway, I am really loving this show and trying not to be too critical and pick it apart. Like how they fly all over the country in his private jet, Miami one minute, DC and then Nebraska the next.
Yes, I"m beginning to assume that Red is her dad. And I'm thinking that the girl he looked up (Lucy Brooks) is his other daughter/ Liz's sister. Which makes me assume that after he disappeared, his wife/ their mother died.
Tom/Red - well, if TOm recognized him or not, I couldn't tell. BUT we at least do know that they don't KNOW each other. Which makes me wonder if the tom being a spy was actually all fake, or if that will come back into the frey.
And LOL - I don't want to pick it apart, but holy hell - how many different parts of the country can these people all get to "like that". And isn't the FBI bigger than just Mike and Liz?? Sometimes a 2nd car shows up w/ them, but it seems like just the two of them are doing all this running around. Are there no other agents available to help catch these criminal masterminds!?!
The girl he looked up in VICAP is not the same as the girl's photo he took from the Cleaner's files right? Who was she?
I still think Tom is guilty of something. The way Red was threatening him made me think so. I know they are hinting at Red being her dad but it's so obvious I hope that's not it.
ECB- I thought the same thing- why are these 2 shooting at the armored car while the swat team (or whoever) is there fully guarded and hanging out doing nothing.
I'm hoping this gets renewed for season 2 and has a better special effects budget. The explosion last week, the plane parts crashing this week... So bad.
I'm going to assume Red is her dad based on the conversation with her actual dad and then Red killed him to keep the secret. It was interesting when Red and Tom were chatting. I couldn't tell if they were supposed to know eachother or not.

what also killed me about that scene w/ the plane - the dad and kid looked up once, when they heard the boom. A plane seat w/ a dead guy in it falls next to them? They just look at each other. They never looked up again - until the very end.
I really don't think Tom knows Red. But I'm still hoping that he's a spy. I REALLY hope that story line wasn't just Red planting that stuff. It wasn't really clarified, though, so I assume it will come up again.

I think its the same girl. I mean its been a few wks so its hard to remember but I think it is. Ok maybe not b/c he had to flip pretty far back in the cleaners files to get to that photo which would mean she was killed a long time ago but the girl in vicap is alive and younger right???
Ugh so confused! Yes, Tom is guilty of something. No idea exactly what yet though!

What kills me is that the shoe came first. I mean when things are falling from the sky shouldn't the heavy stuff come first?
I also do not think Tom knows Red. But I do think Tom is some kind of spy. Probably not from the US.

I'm losing interest quickly for this show. The only thing keeping it going is the mystery of who Red is. The catching of the blacklist criminals is getting boring.

It's not a very good show. The only reason to watch is James Spader.

Really- this is what it boils down to. I want it to be good, but no, it's really not. Even as I've said in this post- the continuity issues/ the unrealistic time scenarios, the bug the crap out of me. And the actress who plays Liz - i just don't think she's that good. She doesn't draw me in at ALL. It's weird - I don't care about HER connection to Red. I care about RED's connection to her and HIS background - if that makes sense.

I totally agree - she drives me nuts, but Spader is always good to watch. And her wig - ug, that deserves a post of its own.
And if she's his daughter, the daughter referenced in the pilot, I'll be ticked. I mean, you have a guy on the 10 most wanted list and the government *doesn't* keep track of her? Right, sorry, that goes too far beyond belief.
Now, if she was a daughter that the government didn't know about, fine, I could buy that.
