Small party. 4/5 kids. 9 adults. Some vegetarians. The theme is butterflies / flowers / garden.
For Kids:
Sandwiches cut with the butterfly cookie cutter and some easy fruit like clementines or grapes. PB&J or cream cheese with jarred olive tapenade (DD loves all briny salty things, especially olives. It's her birthday). Juice boxes.
For adults:
Mimosas or sparkling water.
I found pasta in the shape of butterflies and flowers. I was thinking of making a lazy pesto pasta salad for the adults using that pasta, good store bought pesto and cherry tomatoes.
I coud buy a few premade salads from Whole foods and add jicama slices cut with the butterfly cookie cutters to the top (If they have jicama, otherwise, just the salad).
Maybe I'll throw some of those pepperidge farm butterfly shaped crackers on a platter with some cheese and fruit.
It's a white veggie you can cut into shapes easily with a cookie cutter. Not that most people use it that way. Looks a little like a potato but tastes more like celery (crunchy and watery).
