I went at 18 weeks for the anatomy scan ultrasound-she was so lazy she barely even moved! We got great pics of her spine but that's about it-she had her back to us most of the time. We had to go back in 4 weeks to get all the measurements, etc. they needed. THEN we found out we were having a girl.
Although I was actually a little disappointed when my doctor was able to tell within a minute while doing an ultrasound. I wanted a little mystery, lol.
Yeah, I think it's either Jamie/Jaime, or you start veering off into the youneek name territory.
Wasn't part of the reason you selected Joanna because it was classic and not all that common? Sorry, work prevents here from being much, but I remember random snippets of things, lol! I feel like Elizabeth covers the classic, but it's really common right now. Will that bother you?
Sorry, I totally threadjacked this into a name thread. I hope you find out what the baby is on Thursday!
I think all the trickster babies are girls. Boys are more than happy to show off their junk.
I agree We had several ultrasounds with my son due to size/fluid concerns. They had trouble at times seeing whatever they wanted to check but he was always more than happy to show off his junk. My husband was very proud (eye roll)
lol at the rhyming names your H liked. Good point about both names not pigeonholing them into a particular era - did you see this name/decade map from a while back? Super interesting, and man...Jennifer was REALLY popular.
That's the good part about Elizabeth - lots of cute nicknames! Eliza, Liza, Beth, Libby, etc.
Fetus was pretty chill despite my having drunk about 3/4 of a Sprite and also a little Pepsi, so hopefully at least this means I'll get a snuggly one this time.
ha! Memoriessssssssss... I'd forgotten that fun. I had to go out and shotgun a coke to get my DS to start moving so we could get a good scan at some point. I think we were checking for abnormalities at the time and he was asleep. One coke later and he was almost fuzzy!
