Can you do removable decals? I don't know how well those would stick in a bathroom due to moisture but most kids aren't taking long steamy showers, right?
I think a princess bathroom has to have something dangling from the ceiling. How about something along these lines placed around the existing light fixture?
I think since you can't paint, texture will be the way to make it princessy. Chiffon or organza shower curtain, super fluffy rug, a few sparkly accessories. Can you change the switchplate? They won't care about that or even know, as long as you change it back.
I would do blue and white. think the blue and white of Chinese porcelain; with maybe some charming willow patterned bath pieces and little silver lids on ceramic pots, and vintage mirrors, several, hanging on the wall. a pretty blue rug, blue and white curtains with blue sashes. An ornate silver brush, or hand mirror. Pretty things that a princess would use.
Would it be weird to put pics of her as cinderella on the wall?

I like SueSue's idea, but I'd do it in her favorite color. I think a fancy shower curtain, silver bathroom accessories, and maybe a tiara on a shelf would be cute. I love this one:

I could take her out for some.
(don't quote)
this would be so, so beautiful! I love it. I'd just do anything to avoid the Disney Brand Princess decorating materials, and instead make it look like (in her mind) what a princess would actually have in her bathroom.
