I met Consulting Doctor yesterday

Yesterday morning I had a follow up with my shitty Dr.  Shitty doctor wanted to wait another 4 weeks to do the cyst follow up even though last time I saw her she wanted to do it this time. When I told her I had a family history of early onset ovarian cancer, she decided I should go see a genetic counselor. Instead of just fucking following up on the goddamn cyst.

I met the new doctor in the afternoon. I sat with her and talked about this whole fiasco for an hour. She asked a million questions to get the timeline straight. She acknowledged that I've been through the wringer on this. She opened my first ultrasound and went through each image with me, showing me the cyst, my ovaries, my uterine lining. She gave several options for what could have happened here, possibilities like I might have some polyps in there that they couldn't see on ultrasound because the lining was too thick.  I am having the followup ultrasound tomorrow and on Monday I will call for the results.  She has plans depending on what the ultrasound shows for my lining and for the cyst.  She talked through them all with me.  She had also heard of my genetic disorder and asked what type I had. She does mostly fertility stuff so she absolutely understands why I am hesitant to do things that may cause scar tissue in my uterus or fallopian tubes. She said the D&C absolutely could have led to a lot of scar tissue and talked about another procedure that wouldn't go as deep into my lining and therefore had a much lower risk of scarring. Even the medicine I'm on now was her idea.

I am so fucking relieved and should I need any procedures done, she will be the doctor to do them.
