Today I had a my monthly check up and since I'm 22 weeks, an ultrasound. Lauryl's organs look great, everything is measuring wonderfully and the sonographer even commented on how long her legs and arms are.
When I saw the Dr though, it turns out they did see something of concern. She said her 4 chambers in the heart look wonderful but there is a calcification on a ventricle or something? She said it is probably nothing but sometimes it can indicate something more serious. Oh gee thanks, that doesn't make me feel better, ha.
So anyways, I have to go get a fetal echocardiogram and the next appt available is in a month. :-| Has anyone else dealt with this? Also, please keep us in your t&p.

I didn't experience this, but a girl on my month board did and her baby grew out of it before birth. I was told Evie had clubfoot while I was pregnant and spent so much time worrying about that, and her feet are perfect. So I know it's near impossible, but try not to worry and I'm sure everything will be just fine!
ME! Amelia had one. It generally goes away as pregnancy goes on - I heard about it at one appt. and then never again.
MY MFM said, "DO.NOT.GOOGLE." I said, "Cool."
I like that your Dr. is being proactive, but I wouldn't worry. Amelia's went away and she is fine. The calicfication, if it remains, shouldn't cause any issues.
Unless, it gives them a totally sassy 'tude. In which case, you'll have your hands full
Not personally, but you can add me to the "I had a friend whose baby had the same problem and it went away before birth" category. Hope the same is true for you and your baby. Hang in there!
I would be terrified, too! Even though it will probably turn out to be nothing, pregnancy is tough since you can't actually see the baby. I always worried when I was pg. Then Zoe was born and you still worry, just about different things.
