Any Monkey Island fans?

Dh got me the new special edition on Steam of the first 2 games for my birthday. I forgot all the original back story with Guybrush wanting to become a pirate, lechuck being a simple ghost pirate and the vegetarian cannibals. It's been fun replaying it.

So to make a discussion of it, what was your favorite MI moment or puzzle?
- I always loved in MI2 when you fail to escape from the trap above the pit of acid and die. Then you flash back to Guybrush telling the story to Elaine. And she calls him out on his lie as he is now here telling her the story of why he's currently dangling over a bottomless pit. Then you're stuck back over the pit of acid again.
- learning Monkey insult fighting was pretty hilarious the first time 'round too

I hope I'm not the only one on here who loves this series :-P

I LOVED these games. I haven't played the new ones yet, but I played all the old ones. I loved the sword fighting and there was one where you got your own ship and then it was the insults with the ship battles? Those were fun.

Then there was the puzzle I will never, ever forget. It took us forever to figure out because who would think of putting a banana on a metronome. It was crazy. I played them all so long ago that they all kind of blurred together at this point. But they were some of my favourite games.

Grim Fandango was another excellent LucasArts game . It's too bad they stopped making those kinds of games.
