Pacific Rim and GLaDOS.

We watched Pacific Rim last night. I didn't watch the trailer before we watched it, so it caught me off guard. Hard to act serious when bad shit is going down and GLaDOS is chirping in the back ground. When I first heard her, I turned to my H and started laughing and he was like, "You didn't know?"

Any other Portal junkies here?

I loved this movie. There's a really great female character arc, which is uncommon for a big action movie. All the characters are well developed actually.

I haven't seen Pacfic Rim, but I do love Portal. Playing Portal 2 on co-op with my husband-- well, I won't say that it saved my marriage, but it gave us a way to connect when our daughter was a colicky, refluxy newborn. She'd be miserable, but then at night, once she went to bed, she would sleep for a couple hours and we'd fire up Portal 2 and solve puzzles and laugh together. And the first Portal is great, too, of course.

Random: the song from the end of Portal was our cake cutting song. Only one person (my super nerdy cousin) got the reference to cake.
