I'm totally in and I would be happy to help you plan! I do request that we set up a list of the next several books to discuss. I get most of my reading material from the library and if it's something really popular/new release I often have to wait for it.
I am in! I also am pretty cheap, so I like older books that I can pick up used, or we could set it up to pass around some copy's. I want to figure out my local library kindle books. Maybe plan on a book a month, and plan for the next 4 months at a time? Get something from all the good themes.
I'm in and I'll second the idea to know the next few books in advance as I'm in an IRL book club and I need to plan out my reading. I'm also fine with fantasy novels. I'll have to think of some suggestions.
Looks like this is happening I better hurry up and finish Snow Crash first!
That is also on my to read list!
It's taken me forever to really get into it. I mean, it's fun, but I kept reading a chapter and then putting it down and forgetting about it. I'm about a quarter of the way in and I'm just now getting into the "but what's going to happen next??" mood

I liked Snow Crash, but I LOVED Anathem. And The Diamond Age is awesome too.
I vote American Gods the first one, cause I spent my one book a month limit on it for this month. I am going to visit my mom this weekend, and they have the most awesome used book store so i can look for the list we have so far. I say one book a month, but I would read all of them the first month if I had them all. I use to have my summer reading list all done by the 3rd week out. I have no self control when it comes to book....or candy.

Snow Crash has been on my list to read for a long time too! I'm pretty sure I even have it on my Kindle already.
I can't promise that I'm going to ve very active in this book club. My reading is very erratic right now: I can read four books in a month, or it can take me six months to get through one. Depends on how busy things are at work. So I will do my best, and I apologize if I lag behind!
I've definitely been thinking for a while that I'm do for a re-read of American Gods too, so I love that plan.
And I love the idea of throwing some graphic novels into the mix. I think Mr. Punch would be a good choice at some point (The Tragical Comedy or Comical Tragedy of Mr Punch, by Neil Gaiman) or maybe Switchblade Honey by Warren Ellis.
Also highly recommend pretty much anything by Lois McMaster Bujold. She is one of my all-time favorite authors and I love sharing her works with everyone. Her Vorkosigan series is space opera at its best, or she has two really good fantasy series, The Sharing Knife or the Chalion books. Something for everyone!
