Does anyone else have this issue? I am normally a pretty pale person. I do get some color during the summer but even then not a ton. But sometimes I have this weird gray kind of pallor to my skin even my lips seem off color. I don't know why this happens and it's not all the time but when it does it's extremely aggrivating because it ruins pictures. It sounds trivial I guess when I write it out like that but like yesterday. We took some Mother's day pics and I look like I'm at death's door. It's really weird. DH's solution is "well spring is here so you'll be getting some color soon" lol
I've tried playing around with them a bit but it messes up the pic. Everyone else in the pics looks fairly normal. Messing with the color makes them look funny.
Depending on what program you're using to photo edit, you could try to select yourself and only do color correction on you. If that makes sense.
That doesn't answer the bigger why question. It sounds a bit like vasoconstriction, though that's a broad 'issue' with multiple causes. I remember I had a friend who complained she was gray, and she was also always cold -- always wore a sweatshirt or fleece.
Yes! I am always cold! like sweaters in the summer kind of cold! I am hypo thyroid though so I assumed it was because of that.

Interesting. That's how my friend was too. We were in grad school together in FL and she would wear fleeces in the summer. I asked her once because it was so odd and she mentioned vasoconstriction. She didn't have other health issues that I was aware of.
I looked it up and on the list of things that can cause or contribute to it are stimulants like caffiene ( among other things). so maybe I need to cut caffiene?

Honestly, even though you feel otherwise healthy, it doesn't seem like a bad time to bring this up to your dr. Just so you know it is nothing or whatever....

It is weird to me that editing the pictures is the fix to this issue.. uhm, id probably see a doctor if i was randomly turning gray - so gray that it's noticable. but hey, that could just be me

This, it would bother me to look grey in a picture but it would also raise alarm to get it checked out especially if it happens regularly. I would also seek medical attention on this because it could be an underlying issue.

Editing the picture isn't my idea of fixing it. I have been back & forth to the dr's A LOT lately for other various things ( migraines, fatigue...) they've done a full blood panel and the only thing other than my thyroid issues which we already knew about is that I was vitamin D deficient. I'm not worried about it per se, just think it's weird.

My grayness in photos from a wedding prompted me to see a doctor. Three weeks later I had my gallbladder removed and my skin color returned to normal.
YMMV.
Hmmmm...a few weeks ago ( back when we were still on the nest) I posted about stomach problems I've been having. Someone mentioned gall bladder. I did go to the Dr he seemed to think it was either H pylori or celiacs. I was tested for both, everything came back ok. He put on on a presc strength antacid thing it was stress/anxiety.
