What did you get, and what are you planning on making?
We got blackberries, yellow plums, green beans, grape tomatoes, sweet yellow onions, red potatoes, cucumbers, and pattypan squash. We also got our eggs, chicken, ground beef, and sausage this week, too.
Probably tabbouleh with the cucumbers, tomatoes, and an onion. Roast the green beans with the other onion. Mashed potatoes. Mix and match the meats with those. Fruit for a snack. ;D
Went to farmer's market - got peas, strawberries and peaches. Peas - ate out of the shell Strawberries - made a flatbread with strawberries, smoked cheddar, and a base of sriracha, jam and balsamic (was from a blog) Peaches - made a flatbread with goat cheese and proscuitto - then topped it with arugula and peach salad with balsamic
blackberries- maybe make a crumble, cobbler, or freeze cucumbers- will be ate in salads and wraps this week for lunch peaches- mostly ate for lunches, salad with greens, balsamic, nuts, and mozzarella gold potatoes- into the pantry for whenever tomatoes- not sure, tomato tart, tomato salad, who knows. onions- into the pantry and used for various dishes cherry tomatoes- I use them in salads and pasta dishes, but DH will probably eat them straight from the fridge.
udscoobychick- there is a dish that were addicted to in our house. Dice the squash, cook on medium-high in a nonstick skillet with a little oil, salt, and pepper, add in diced artichoke hearts (jarred or frozen), cook for a few minutes, turn off the heat and toss in some fresh spinach and parmesan. The quick sear really brings out the flavor of the squash. DH likes to eat it over angel hair pasta that he tosses with a little black pepper and kerrygold butter.
