Does anyone have weird things that prevent you (or make you not want to) work out?
For me, it's the cold air in the office. I work out at lunch and I HATE changing out of my warm clothes into a tank and shorts in the frigid office air. On more than one occasion, I have postponed a workout because I simply CANNOT change clothes. I just want to stay warm and comfy. And I live in the South. LOL.
I hate working out later in the day, especially if I've already put makeup on. Re-doing my hair, cleaning up mascara schmear, and maybe even reapplying my face to go somewhere? No thanks. I'll stick with 6, 7, 8am.
I don't want to go to the gym at work in the morning because I don't particularly want to show up without my hair and makeup done, but it seems silly to do my hair/makeup then go directly to the gym.
Otherwise I'd like to get in additional morning workouts.

Cold air for sure. Southern girl to the core. I hate having to climb out of my warm bed to go run in freezing temps, but if I don't run in the mornings, it doesn't get done.
I don't ever go to the gym before work because I feel like I would never shower at home if I did and taking all my showers in the gym showers make me feel sad for me.
but really I hate the dark most of all. the prospect of running in the dark makes me not want to run at all.
In the summertime, I hate working out after work because the nice weather is so rare around here and I want to get outside to enjoy it. I own my own studio, so I do have to be there and it isn't an option. I am just fine once I get there and start teaching, but I do wish I had more downtime during the summer. Sigh...maybe next year.

I hate when working out means showering more than I would normally. Like, it's fine if it's just time to shower anyway, but if I have the thought on a weekend morning to go for a jog and then realize that actually I showered before bed the night before and so don't need a shower, bye bye jog. The times when soccer, CF and life combine to make me shower 3x in 24 hours are the worst.
Also, I cannot judge you emuni04 because in winter I have definitely brought clothes into my office (I WFH, my office is the smallest room in the house and gets warm because I have a space heater) to change there.
The threat of rain. It hardly ever rains here, but if there are gray "rain like" clouds in the sky I start having to motivate myself to run to the gym (I go at lunch) around 9am. If I were going in the evening, I probably wouldn't care about rain, but running in the rain during work hours. Nope.
I have trouble leaving the house because my dog goes crazy when I leave. Sometimes I literally sneak out and hope he doesn't hear me going. Today I got out. Then I came home (10 miles thankyouverymuch) and I saw his sleepy brown eyes and then took him for a 3 mile walk because I felt bad.

Having to change into my workout clothes in the morning, esp when it's cold out and my pjs are so soft and warm. So sometimes I just wear my workout clothes to bed so I don't have that excuse.

I also hate showering more than once a day and will not work-out post daily shower. or not shower until I workout. whichever way you prefer to look at it.

I have a variant on that. Changing into my swim suit in the winter always sucks. So does jumping into the pool. It's especially bad in the morning in the winter.

YES! Granted, I haven't really swam since my last swim meet in HS, but I used to hate this as well! 15 years ago...

If it means having to wash this frizzy thick head of hair more often than the scheduled every other day, then no. If I can work out (i.e. lift light weights, yoga) and just get by with dry shampoo, then that's ok.
Definitely extra showering/washing hair. I was going to swim this morning. I SHOULD have gone to swim this morning. But I washed my hair yesterday. And I need fresh hair tomorrow because I have a business trip with no AM time for pretty hair. TODAY WAS A BAD DAY TO SWIM.
Forgetting my contacts. I wear my glasses at work now because my eyes hurt from the computer if I wear contacts and I can't work out in glasses. My vision is so poor that I can't workout without my glasses. So, no contacts, no workout.
Daylight = hot here = I don't wanna. I still do it on the weekends because sleep seems to always trump an alarm on the weekend, but it takes H basically dragging us out the door.

I will definitely admit that my puppies can be my worst excuse. I'm a morning workout girl, but if Dav crawls up in bed to cuddle there are mornings that I deem puppy cuddles to be more important then working out lol
I workout after work and a (lame) deterrent for me is not being prepared snack-wise to go from a long day at the office right into a workout. Sometimes I forget to pack afternoon snacks and am so starving after work and use that as an excuse that my workout won't be effective.

Haha, I do this all the time too when I schedule a morning workout. I've even worn my swimsuit to bed before to make sure that I roll out of bed the next morning and head to the pool. I feel like such a weirdo admitting this! I am NOT a morning person! I do the majority of my workouts in the evening, but sometimes stuff comes up in the schedule necessitating morning workouts.
