I think a lot of shows are trying this out this year. They do more new episodes back to back and then take a long hiatus before coming back with a bunch more new ones back to back, instead of doing 2 weeks of new episodes, 3 weeks of reruns, a month of new, 2 more weeks of reruns, etc. I don't think Once is coming back til sometime in March.

I think they're doing a lot more mini-series/seasons to fill in the gap though. That could be nice.

Part of that is the Olympics (Feb 7-23) so maybe they don't want to compete against that. I think that is sort of common.

That's a really long time though. Then they'll wonder why people lose interest and don't come back after the break.

on twitter she said there are 5 more episodes this year, then an hour long spring premiere, then hiatus, then 8 episodes to end the season that they are treating like a mini series

agreed. This season has been very meh IMO. Last season killed me. I laughed so hard every episode.

I loved last season, the last episode was good but the rest of this season has been sort of blah.

There have been some hilarious episodes (the one with the Danny's photos at the art show, the one with Timothy Olyphant, and the one where Morgan and Peter sext Cliff) and some not-so-funny ones. Last season was uneven, too, but you'd expect the second season to be more consistent.

I love Danny. I feel sure that he and Mindy are probably end game. But I don't want them to get together anytime soon. Nick & Jess together has killed New Girl for me.
