Hello all! I've been lurking here and TK/TB for a while and enjoy the discussions.
Background: 27 years old, married for 5 years next month, and have a 7 week old daughter (currently sleeping on my chest). I majored in history and economics in college, but I wish I had done English. After graduation I went to law school where there was a lot of reading, but much of it was dull.
I love to read and I will read just about anything. I'm not a giant fan of science fiction (the type that takes place on Kreldar with a race of green, 8-boobed women), but I'll give it a try. I mostly stick to fiction, historical non-fiction, mystery, and quirky informational books. If money and my complete lack of business sense weren't a concern, I would totally own bookstore.
Favorite books - Gone with the Wind (have read it several times), Maisie Dobbs series, The Historian, FDR, and The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.
Just read - Drop Dead Healthy, by AJ Jacobs. Loved it and his other books. Also, I finally finished Dance of Dragons from the Game of Thrones/Song of Fire and Ice series. Can't wait for the next one!
Currently reading - Prague Fatale, by Philip Kerr. It's a crime/mystery and I generally like it, but the author makes too many random metaphors...like every other paragraph.
