How long did it take for your body to regulate? I'm finishing my second week of Alesse and it sucks so far. My boobs hurt, my uterus feels like a million pounds and I'm eating everything in sight.
Everything I've read said to give it a couple of months. I really don't want to spend two months in this hell, but I'm running out of options. We used NFP for two years before we decided to have DS. I don't trust it this time since my cycles are screwed up. We've been using condoms, but don't care for them. Our other options are IUD or DH getting snipped. Both we'd have to pay 100% out of pocket. I'm holding out because we are on the fence about having a third.

I was on Femcom FE and it took about 3 full months for my body to feel "normal" again. I lost my appetite, had horrible mood swings, and my face looked like a 15 year olds but then after my period on the 3rd month I started to feel back to my old self again. Everyone reacts differently though so it may not take as long for your body to adjust but I think the average is a few months.

I've been on several different BCPs and every time I've switched brands it took a couple months to adjust.
That said, if you're having bad symptoms that last another week or so then I'd go ahead and call the doc to see if you can try a different kind. There was one pill I couldn't tolerate after just a week and my gyno was quick to give me another.

I think it was 1-2 cycles but I can't really didn't have any negative side effects with ortho-tri-cylen lo, just my sex drive was in complete overdrive.
About 6 weeks, 3 of which I was bleeding. HEAVY. It was horrible.
Then karma showed its beautiful face... what used to be 5-6 days of mostly heavy bleeding has turned into 4-5 days of light light period. Try to get through that first month at least, see how it goes.
When I switch brands, it always takes a few months to adjust to it. I started seasonique last year and I only started feeling normal again a couple of months ago.
