There are TONS of medical reasons that require people to self-cath. Some are just bladder issues, but also think about things like paraplegia or spina bifida. It happens more often than you think, and the reality is that a lot of insurances will not pay for the number of catheters people need in order to cath often enough. So they're faced with either paying out of pocket (which adds up very quickly, like any medical expense) or yes, reusing catheters.
LHC- you mean 1-800-BAD-DRUG ?? I love those, too - if you've ever taken any medication ever and have ever felt any side-effect to any degree- you may be entitled to MONEY!!!!!
She's happy she doesn't have to wash and reuse her old pee-crusted caths! Wouldn't you be happy, too?
I guess so, but it seems so odd to me. Just like having a chick run along the beach in a tampon commercial. Let's be realistic about it. When I'm in that situation, I'm on the couch with wine and chocolate.
